LawAt the Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association we try not to be too dramatic, however, there are times when having the help of our members is critical. Now is one of those times.

There are several legal challenges to hatchery operations in the region. If successful, these challenges could drastically reduce the number of fish there are in the system for years to come and could set legal precedent in other states. The NSIA is assisting where we can with these lawsuits, but we need help to continue the fight. There are two ways you can help:

Hatchery Economic Impact Survey

On February 26, arguments are due to the court on the Sandy Hatchery lawsuit. The NSIA is trying to put together economic data to show the impact shutting down the hatchery will have on the economy. Please fill it out with as accurate as information as possible. We will not share any proprietary information, unless we get permission.

Legal battles continue on Sandy, McKenzie rivers
We are also asking for resources to cover the expenses of continuing the legal fight on the Sandy and McKenzie rivers. The NSIA is commissioning a new economic study from Southwick Associates to make our case in court. Your contribution is needed to continue to stop these legal challenges to our industry!

 PLEASE HELP TODAY!

We need your support! Anyone who has been involved with legal proceedings or economic studies know how expensive they can be. Luckily we have a great team of attorneys who are helping the NSIA at a very affordable rate, however, we need resources to keep this going.

If you can’t contribute monetarily, please fill out the economy survey. Anything you can do will help as we move into the McKenzie lawsuit and finish up the Sandy lawsuit.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call,
