NSIA has signed onto a letter with a broad coalition of 95 Pacific Northwest organizations addressed to the Council on Environmental Quality that conveys appreciation for the Biden Administration’s report “Rebuilding Interior Columbia Basin Salmon and Steelhead”, which was produced by NOAA/NMFS earlier this year. This report confirmed the Nez Perce Tribe’s and other analyses that several Columbia-Snake Basin salmon runs face extinction without immediate action. The letter goes on to remind the Administration of two commitments it made that now have approaching deadlines.
