After efforts across the state to let Senator Ron Wyden know about the importance of public lands to sportfishing at his town hall meetings, the senior senator from Oregon tweeted an informational graphic the Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association put together to highlight the economic impacts.
Several NSIA members spoke at the Wyden town halls, held around Oregon from January 15 through 25. During the town halls Wyden was not only presented with the informational graphic, but also the complete study which outlines the economic impact that public lands have on the sportfishing industry.

Wyden recently released a plan for O&C Lands that would balance the needs of the environmental community and timber interests. He is also chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
